CLEVELAND — José Ramírez delivered a three-run homer in the first inning, Brayan Rocchio added a two-run single in the seventh, and the Cleveland Guardians pulled away for a 10-5 victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Monday night.

Ramón Laureano had put the Orioles ahead 5-3 in the third with a two-run homer, but Cleveland responded with seven unanswered runs to secure their ninth win in 11 games.

Kyle Manzardo gave the Guardians a 6-5 lead with a solo homer in the sixth off Colin Selby (0-1), an inning after Bo Naylor tied the game with a solo shot.

Cleveland scored four runs in the seventh, including two on bases-loaded walks by Grant Wolfram with two outs. Despite the victory, the Guardians left a season-high 15 runners on base and were 3 for 20 with runners in scoring position.

Guardians starter Tanner Bibee (6-9) pitched seven innings, allowing five runs — three earned — and six hits. The right-hander earned his second consecutive win after an eight-start winless stretch from May 27 to July 7.

All-Star left fielder Steven Kwan, returning for Cleveland after missing three games with right wrist soreness, reached base five times in six plate appearances. He contributed two singles and three walks.

Laureano finished with four RBI for Baltimore, which has now lost five of its last six games. Orioles starter Tomoyuki Sugano issued a season-high four walks over 3 2/3 innings.

Key Moment

The Guardians loaded the bases with no outs in both the second and seventh innings. They failed to score in the second, but capitalized in the seventh when Wolfram issued back-to-back walks to Nolan Jones and Daniel Schneemann, bringing in two crucial runs.
