The Atlanta Braves mounted a thrilling comeback to defeat the Miami Marlins 8-6, snapping a three-game losing streak at Truist Park. Rookie catcher Drake Baldwin stole the show with two home runs and five RBIs, sparking Atlanta's offense after an early deficit.

Jonathan Ornelas scored on a wild pitch in the eighth inning to give the Braves an insurance run. Closer Raisel Iglesias sealed the victory with a perfect ninth inning, striking out two batters for his 15th save of the season. Pierce Johnson secured the win with a scoreless inning of relief.
Drake Baldwin’s three-run homer in the sixth ignited Atlanta’s rally and marked the rookie catcher’s first career multihomer game, proving to be the turning point of the night.
The Braves improved to a remarkable 50-21 record against the Marlins at Truist Park. This is their best home record against any NL East opponent since the ballpark opened in 2017.
The series continues as Miami’s right-hander Edward Cabrera (5-5, 3.24 ERA) is set to face Atlanta’s Bryce Elder (4-8, 6.03 ERA) in the second game of this five-game set.
