CHICAGO -- The Baltimore Orioles overcame a deficit with a four-run eighth inning, capped by a three-run homer from Gunnar Henderson, to beat the Chicago Cubs 4-3 on Saturday, August 2, 2025. This marked the Orioles' seventh victory in their last 10 games.
Jordan Westburg initiated the scoring in the eighth inning with an RBI single off Caleb Thielbar (2-3), breaking the Orioles’ 18-inning scoreless streak. Henderson then followed with his 13th home run of the season.
Grant Wolfram (2-0) pitched a scoreless seventh inning, striking out two to earn the win. In the ninth, after Carson Kelly and Seiya Suzuki drew walks, Keegan Akin struck out Pete Crow-Armstrong to secure his first save.
