The Miami Marlins completed a three-game sweep by beating the Arizona Diamondbacks 6-4 on Sunday. Otto Lopez hit a go-ahead, two-run single and Kyle Stowers added a three-run double during a decisive eighth-inning rally.
The victory marked the streaking Marlins' seventh consecutive win.
Trailing 2-1 entering the eighth inning, the Marlins capitalized on control issues from Arizona pitcher Jalen Beeks. Beeks walked the bases loaded with two outs. Otto Lopez delivered a key line drive single to left field, scoring Liam Hicks and Dane Myers to give Miami a 3-2 lead. Following an intentional walk to Agustin Ramirez, Kyle Stowers hit a bases-clearing double, extending the Marlins' lead to 6-2.
Arizona's pitching staff struggled, issuing a total of 10 walks. This loss was the Diamondbacks' fourth straight, dropping their record below .500 to 41-42.
Jalen Beeks (2-1) took the loss for Arizona, surrendering five earned runs while recording only two outs in the pivotal eighth inning. This rough outing followed giving up three earned runs in just one out the previous day.

The Diamondbacks managed to cut the deficit to 6-4 in the bottom of the eighth inning, but Marlins pitcher Calvin Faucher struck out Jake McCarthy with runners on first and second base, ending Arizona's rally attempt.
Arizona's bullpen had a collective 5.22 ERA entering Sunday's game, ranking among the worst in Major League Baseball.
The Marlins return home to begin a series against the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday. They are scheduled to face Twins right-hander Joe Ryan, who holds an 8-3 record with a 2.86 ERA.
The Diamondbacks continue their current homestand on Monday. They will host the San Francisco Giants, with Arizona's Ryne Nelson (4-2, 3.71 ERA) expected to pitch against San Francisco's Logan Webb (7-5, 2.52 ERA).
