Game Recap

On Tuesday, Stephen Strasburg turned in a superb pitching display for the Nationals, dominating Milwaukee batters for seven innings. He prevented the Brewers from scoring during his time on the mound, baffling hitters primarily with his curveball. All eight of his strikeouts during this magnificent outing were registered with that very pitch. Despite Strasburg's brilliant effort, the Nationals' offense was unable to provide any support. The game remained scoreless until after Strasburg exited, when the Brewers managed to score against the Washington bullpen, ultimately claiming a 4-0 victory that unfortunately wasted Strasburg's impressive performance.
