St. Louis defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates Friday night in a 12-8 rout. Carlos Beltran was key to the early offense, driving in runs during his first two at-bats which contributed to chasing starting pitcher A.J. Burnett from the game prematurely. Joe Kelly earned the victory on the mound, securing his third consecutive win against the Pirates.
