Wednesday night, July 26, 2017, saw the Miami Marlins visit the Texas Rangers. Things started poorly for the home team when Marlins leadoff hitter Dee Gordon launched the very first pitch thrown by Yu Darvish for a home run. The Rangers' fortunes did not improve from there, as Miami ultimately defeated Texas by a score of 22 to 10, setting a franchise record for the most runs scored in a single game.
